Waiting for an Answer
A reply, result, or decision has not arrived. The mind may try to fill the silence with predictions. You can care about the answer and still make room for the time before it comes.

THIS MAY SOUND FAMILIAR
Where you might be.
- You check the same message thread again.
- A decision depends on someone else’s response.
- You treat every passing minute as a clue about what will happen.
A DIFFERENT WAY IN
A little room around the moment.
Waiting can make guessing feel like preparation. But a possible answer is still only a possibility. It may help to separate what you know, what you can do, and what is not available yet. This is a pause from repeated checking, not a promise that you will feel patient.
TRY A SIMPLE PAUSE
Begin where you are.
Find one visible shape near you and let your eyes trace its edge. Notice your surroundings for a few moments. When you imagine a possible answer, name it quietly as a possibility and return to the shape. There is no need to push the thought away.
Another approach: You can use sound, contact with a chair or floor, or gentle movement instead of a visual anchor.
Is there an action that would actually help now, or am I trying to make the waiting end?
If it fits, choose a reasonable time to check again. You can put your attention on another ordinary task until then.
