A SMALL PRACTICE TO KEEP

Make a little room. Take it with you.

Choose an anchor, a length and a familiar cue. Your card gives you a place to begin and a clear way to finish. Keep it nearby, print it or save the image.

A LITTLE ROOM / EVERYDAY PRACTICE

An ordinary object

NOTICE

Rest your gaze on a familiar object. Notice a shape, edge or colour. When attention moves elsewhere, return to one visible detail. Keep your eyes comfortable; there is no need to stare.

RETURN

Notice one ordinary thing, then choose your next action.

Your pace. Your choice. Stop whenever you wish.

Give the practice a familiar place.

A cue is an invitation to notice a moment that already occurs. It does not need to become a rule. Put the card near a book, a desk or another useful place, and choose it when the setting fits.

Leave room for a different day.

Your chosen length is flexible. If the anchor does not fit, switch or stop. You can return to the builder and make another card without treating the earlier one as a failed commitment.
